Ingredients
  

Cookie Dough

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp matcha powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp milk if needed for dough consistency

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, matcha powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until combined.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms. If too dry, add 1 tbsp of milk.
  • Scoop dough into small balls and place on the prepared baking sheet. Flatten slightly.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are slightly golden. Let cool on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

For extra sweetness, drizzle with white chocolate or dust with powdered sugar before serving. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
